The Regulation on the Amendment to the Implementing Regulation of the Law No. 6303 was published in the Official Gazette on April 24, 2020. The amendment concerns those who renew their risky structure within the scope of Urban Transformation.

According to the amendment made, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization increased the rent assistance paid to the building owners, who destroyed the risky and reserve building areas voluntarily, from 36 months (3 years) to 48 months (4 years). In addition, if the Ministry deemed appropriate by considering the financing status of the transformation projects special account, the upper limit of the rent payment can be increased from 5 months to 1 year.

No change has been made to the duration of lease assistance to risky building owners outside the risky area, and remains 18 months.
