With the “Communiqué on Increasing the Monetary Limits in Articles 68 of the Law No.6502 on the Protection of Consumers and Articles 6 of the Regulation on Consumer Arbitration Committees” published in the Official Gazette No. 31346 dated December 29, 2020, the monetary limits in these articles are 9.11%. was increased by the rate.
In the applications to be made in 2021;
- District Consumer Arbitration Committees are in charge of disputes under TL 7.550,
- Provincial Consumer Arbitration Committees are in charge of disputes between 7.550 TL and 11.330 TL in provinces with metropolitan status,
- Provincial Consumer Arbitration Committees are in charge of disputes under 11.330 TL in the centers of provinces that are not in metropolitan status,
- Provincial Consumer Arbitration Committees are in charge of disputes between 7.550 TL and 11.330 TL in districts of provinces that do not have metropolitan status.
Provincial Consumer Arbitration Committees are authorized within the provincial boundaries, and District Consumer Arbitration Committees are authorized within the boundaries of the district. In districts where a Consumer Arbitration Committee is not established, the Consumer Arbitration Committee determined by the Ministry for that district is authorized.
Applications can be made to the Consumer Arbitration Committee at the place where the consumer is located or where the consumer transaction is made.
If a Consumer Arbitration Committee has not been established in the district where the application can be made, the consumers can apply to the district governorship. These applications are sent to the authorized Consumer Arbitration Committee determined by the Ministry by the district governorships.
